Holidays are over. . . sad day.

You may read that title and think, "Oh, Dirty Ol' Uncle Flick is getting all sentimental on us." You could not be more wrong. I am pissed the holidays are over because it will be another year before I get two four-day-weekends in a row. They are the best invention ever. And I won't see the likes of one for a while now.

Christmas was good. Spent Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas driving to and from various family events (both mine and the womanpiece's). I did put a crapload of miles on my car that weekend. It was a good weekend, though. Plus I got some pretty cool stuff (a new ski jacket, for one!) and I think everyone liked the stuff I gave them.

New Years was uneventful, but that was fine by me. No trouble, no cops, no ridiculous hangover. New Year's Eve night, we made dinner at my house. Delicious burritos with even more delicious green chile on top. Robert, Natalie, Keith, Melissa, Sarah, and I spent the rest of the night doing various forms of debauchery, including Scene-It, Catch Phrase, and Cranium. Plus drinking Jack and Ginger, some 7&7, and a few beers thrown in. Add a little (huge) New Years doggie boner (complements of Spanky) and we had ourselves a fun night. New Years Day consisted of more family related stuff and a lot more eating.

Monday morning, I took Sarah to the airport to head back to Phoenix. She has eight more weeks down there and then she will be back in Colorado for a long while. I sure can't wait. I have done enough of the distance relationship thing to know that it sucks and I hate it.

That's about it for now. I'm currently at work trying to come up with excuses as to why I don't have to work. I just thought of one.
